The Heart Outcomes Prevention Evaluation (HOPE) study proved ALTACE (ramipril) 10 mg reduced cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients age 55+. ALTACE reduced the relative risk of heart attack by 20%, death from cardiovascular problems by 26%.
